We do not discriminate and follow Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Each applicant is assessed on their merit, character, and alignment with our mission.
Prospecting Priority
We prioritize applicants from:
- Veterans
- New Canadians
- First Nations peoples
These groups often bring unique insight, resilience, and a grounded understanding of the challenges their communities face.
Prospecting Process
A “Prospect” wears a modified version of our patch — the top and bottom rockers only, along with a front patch labeled “Prospect.”
To earn full membership, a prospect must complete the following:
650 Hours of Volunteer Work
This is not social time — these hours must directly contribute to our mission, such as:
- Driving or transportation support
- Collecting supplies or donations
- Teaching or mentorship
- Any needed task contributing to our operations
Build a mode of transportation
Each prospect must construct one of the following:
- A bicycle
- An electric bicycle (e-bike)
- A modified street-legal motorcycle
Details:
- Must be built from an owned, used, donated, or salvaged base
- Demonstrates the ability to learn skills, follow instructions, and complete a project
- The completed vehicle may be kept or donated
Additional expectations:
- All members are encouraged to hold a valid driver’s license
- Each member should have access to personal transportation
- We have a small stipend to help members build or acquire modes of transportation.
Full Membership
Once a Prospect completes both the service hours and transportation build, they become a full member.
- They choose a nick name
- They receive the full 3-piece patch
- Membership is for life unless a member engages in conduct unbecoming of their role, in which case they may be expelled.
